You only have 1 body to carry you through life. Use it, stretch it, exercise it, but look after it as if you are going to need it for 100+ years – because you will.
A friend of ours is a diabetic. It hits him regularly and he has an interesting view when it comes to health and fitness goals – and it’s quite simply this… take care of your legs and core. Without the use of your legs you’ll end up using a walker or a wheelchair – and that will have a severe impact on your life.
So, sorry Johnny Bravo – you got it the wrong way around
They say “friends don’t let friends skip legs day” – and it must be true according to my friend. I don’t want to have to use a walker or a wheelchair, so I’ll exercise my legs and core daily, to be able to keep going well into my latter years.
